Automated Action with Activity Create Odoo Standard
By Probuse Consulting Service Pvt. Ltd.
This video will explain to you how you can use automated action to create new schedule activity for the user automatically based on some trigger conditions and domain. (Note that this video made on odoo version 15.0 community edition and automated action is odoo standard feature).
Flow of Next Activity Create using Automated Action:
Goto menu “setting >Technical >Automated Action” to create the automated action for a specific model/object.
You can write any name of the automated action and then select the model which you want to apply this automated action.
Now, select “Action to do” with the option “Create Next Activity”.
Automated Action can be Triggered on Creation, Update, Create & Update, based on form modification and time condition. So you have to decide here which trigger condition, you want to go with so when that condition match then the system will call this automated action.
Now, let us try with selecting “Trigger” with the option “On Update” example.
Now you can also choose the field you want to be triggered on update. Select the “customer” on “Trigger Fields” as an example. (you can also keep this field empty if you want to trigger an update for all the fields).
Now you have to apply the domain to that selected model’s records. Example : if we select the model “project task “ and then we can apply the domain on that record is “company_id = 1” as an example.
Now configure the activity for the selected Model which you want to create.
There are few options for activity, here we show selecting “Activity” with the option “Meeting” example.
Now, add due to dates and apply the automated action in day ,week or month.
Select “Activity User type” with option “Specific User” example.
Select the user is responsible for that automated Action so that activity create for that user.
You can also specify/write the summary and notes in an automated action which will be used in activity notes.
Now, let us goto menu “ project > task “ select the task and update the customer on that task to run/trigger that automated action which we have created.
You can see activity has been created that means automated action has been triggered.
