Purpose of the Module

The purpose of this module is to simplify and standardize the creation of Bills of Materials by introducing an enhanced BoM Template mechanism for Odoo Manufacturing.

Instead of manually configuring BoMs for each product, this module allows manufacturers to define reusable templates for both single product and multi product scenarios, ensuring consistency across manufacturing setups.

By selecting a BoM Template during BoM creation, key information such as components, operations, by products, and related configuration fields are automatically populated, reducing manual effort and configuration errors.

For multi product templates, the Product field is dynamically restricted to only those products defined in the selected template, ensuring accurate product selection and controlled BoM generation.

Overall, this module improves efficiency, enforces standardization, and enables faster, more reliable BoM creation for complex manufacturing workflows.

Real World Problem It Solves
